God With An "o"
That is to say, "God" and not "G-d" or "Gd". The reason is:
The common rabbinic opinion is that "God" written in any language other than Hebrew, has no holiness and can be erased. (see Shach Y.D. 179:11, and Mishneh Brura 85:10)
My G-d! Is that true?
ReplyDeleteWow.. how cool it that?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up.
So can we also stop using L-rd and
H-shem too?
LLM,
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
