Is Shimon Peres A Loser?

Everybody is having a good time calling Shimon Peres a loser. I hate to be a party-pooper, but let's remember few things:

1) He may lose elections, but unfortunately, in the end, his policies get carried out by others (Rabin, Sharon).

2) He's raked in a lot of dough in the past 80 years or so. I wonder how many millions he is worth.

If he is a loser, it is in the fact that he never understood that our mission is to be a "kingdom of priests and a holy nation" and not the Hebrew speaking branch of the Socialist International.

While I think its incredible that he's lost...again...his replacement is just as bad. (lose/lose/loser situation).

1. OK, so he has money...big deal. Sharon has a multi-million dollar ranch...and he's worked in the public sector his entire life. Politicians get money from different sources all the time. You want to make some money? Bet on Peres to lose the next election he enters.

2. Peres policy implementation has nothing to do with Peres being a loser, but by the Left having a choke-hold over Israel.

May we merit Mashiach speedily in our days.

Jameel,

1) LOL. Still I wouldn't mind trading bank accounts with him.

2) I would be very happy if the party I vote for does not sit in the government if the policies I support are implemented.

3) With regards to Mashiach, amen.

Cosmic: I would be happy if the party I'm a central committee member of, would actually vote according to its own platform, and not implement policies that were REJECTED by the overall majority of the general party membership!

Hmmm....I guess thats too much to make me happy. Got a Lotto ticket?

Jameel,

The policies were rejected by the party and the electorate. Ah the joys of Israeli democracy.

Lotto ticket? No, why do you ask?

Probably easier to win the lottery, than it is to find Likud politicians that actually listen to their party platform and electorate.

Cosmic, I agree with you, that one of the main things that makes Peres a loser is that:

"he never understood that our mission is to be a "kingdom of priests and a holy nation"

But in that regard, who in politics (or the elite) today wouldn't be considered a loser?

Jameel,

True.

Ze'ev,

I don't know. We want Mashiach now!
