Italiani Brava Gente

Is this not entertaining?
(IsraelNN.com) Italy is calling on European Union member states and the United Nations to push for an international moratorium on capital punishment. The move follows the controversial execution Saturday of Iraq's former dictator Saddam Hussein, who was sentenced to death for committing crimes against humanity.

Benito Mussolini's granddaughter Alessandra Mussolini was shocked by the images of Saddam's execution: "My mind immediately flicked to pictures of my grandfather, who also had his uncovered face exposed to the public for ridicule."
Boo Hoo Hoo!

as you see from your news Italy is on your side:(IsraelNN.com) Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said Thursday that Italy will not attend the Durban II conference scheduled for April in Geneva because of “aggressive and anti-Semitic statements” in resolutions being prepared for the summit on racism. Israel, Canada and the United States already have said they will not attend, and Britain threatened to follow suit.

Foreign Minister Frattini also announced a postponement of a trip to Iran due to anti-Israeli and anti-American remarks by Iranian leaders.

But what side are you on?

1) Thanks for commenting (twice!) on this post. It's been up for over two years and nobody bothered to comment.

2) I have a real problem with what Israel has been doing in Gaza. They should have hit the terrorists and their supporters much harder!

3) Kudos for Italy and Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini for not taking part in the Durban hate-fest.

4) I have nothing against Italians. I do have something against Hitler's ally Benito Mussolini.
