Clinton, McCain, Obama

Am I the only one who thinks that the upcoming presidential elections are nothing but a popularity contest? The only issue that I am aware of is the American military presence in Iraq. I would really like to see a table that would summarize the candidates and their positions with regards to the issues. The rows of the table would contain the issues, and the columns would contain the names of the candidates. Does something like this exist, or is the public more interested in what the candidates eat for breakfast?

B"H suppose that I would bother to get an absentee ballot and vote for whomever is least worst for Israel. I guess that's McCain. It's my hishtadluth. On the other hand we cannot expect any human force to protect us nor to take over our own responsibilities for protecting our own selves.

while it is a popularity contest, and has been since probably Ronald Reagan was president, there are issues on the table other than Iraq. A major one right now is the economy... being that it has been in the dumps.

I am no expert, but the only thing Obama talsk about is hope for the future, but does not actually say what he plans to do. The other candidates (Clinton, McCain, etc.) have presented and talk about their actual plans.

So while in general it is a popularity contest, Obama is really the only one trying to keep it that way.

Ben-Yehudah,

IMHO, the other hand is correct.

Rafi,

Thanks, but I still want a table, even if the Obama column just says "hope" for every row.
