Yes, it's that time of year. For the next couple of weeks, we will be bombarded by the Israeli MSM with lies, half-truths, distortions, and plain idiocy with regards to the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin.
To start the ball rolling, read this article at Ha'aretz. The inept Carmi Gillon still has something to say.
If you like to vomit, read this piece of nonsense by Rabin lackey Eitan Haber.
The good news is that comic relief is available. Pay your respects at The Church of Rabin And Peace.
Update: Ze'ev has something to say to Carmi Gillon.
Update: More Gillon saliva at ynet.

Comic Relief? I thought it was all true...
The Knesset is pondering a new law, in which all blogs need to have a ".rabin" suffix.
So Gillon thinks Amir should have been shot after he was in custody? Sounds like the rule of law to me!
Personally, I think Amir should have been subject to the death penalty by law. But in the absence of such a law, Gillon would just have had him shot? And this man used to be in charge of Israel's security services!
As November rolls around, I remember 1995...
Its pretty hypocritical for Carmi Gillon to say anything. Don't you remember the famous phone conversation between Carmi and Leah Rabin? (Carmi Gillon was in France on Nov 4rth)
Nov 4rth, 8 PM.
Leah Rabin's phone rings.
LR: Hello?
CG: Hello Leah? I'm so sorry about your husband.
LR: What are you talking about? He's on the dais in Kikar Malchei Yisrael right now.
*pause*
CG: Damn. I forgot about the time difference.

Yigal Amir is requesting a new trial!
No wonder Carmi Gilon wanted him shot...now Amir's gonna spill the beans, and Gilon's gonna get it.
Jameel,
I understood that Gillon said that the bodyguards should have shot Amir the minute that he fired on Rabin, not after he was in custody. The fact that the bodyguards did not kill Amir on the spot gives more food for the conspiricy theories. My point is that Gillon, as the head of the organization that was supposed to protect the Prime Minister, failed. He should find a nice hole to crawl into during the annual Rabinfest. All this if we accept the official version of events. If we accept some of the conspiricy theory versions, Gillon should be in jail at best.
ZB,
Your post "Remembering 1995, or Who killed Oslo?" is an important one. Ten years have passed, and people who were to young at that time to be aware of current events might buy all of the Rabin cult mumbo-jumbo.
