For those who don't understand the Hebrew, Rav Yitzhak Shapira points out the problems of people who argue without trying to understand what they are arguing about. The paths of the Torah are pleasantness, and all her ways are peace. People who wish to understand the laws of capital crimes must study the Torah, including his book which illuminates this particular area of it, rather than making shrill statements which do not encourage understanding. My personal experience is that newspapers always get something wrong, and when they get visceral they get it wrong big time.
